Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a country of more that 83 million people with 80 different ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. According to the 2007 government conducted population census 61% of the population is Christian, 33% Muslim and the rest practice traditional religion. Although the Christian population is apparently high, only 17% are born again Christians. Thus, the need to proclaim Christ in Ethiopia is self evident!

80% Ethiopia’s population lives in rural areas most of those areas are very remote. Considering these difficult realities for evangelization, we have started an evangelization mission in remote areas of Benishangul Gumuz and Tigray located in western and northern Ethiopia respectively. At the moment we have sponsored evangelists who are working in those areas by supporting them permanently with their living expenses.
