Faith Statments

There is only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.

That JESUS CHRIST is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died of the cross as sacrifice for our sins. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven. He is the only Mediator between God and human beings. The shed BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salivation for all who believe. He comes again to establish His kingdom and judge human beings.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. He works in the lives of believers with all His gifts and prepare the Bride for the imminent coming of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God as its author and it is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. The criterion by which the Bible is to be interpreted is Jesus Christ.

Man was created by the special act of God, in His own image. In the beginning man was innocent of sin but by his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race resulting in physical and spiritual death.

In its broadest sense, salvation includes the believer's past, present, and future as explained below:

  • Past - Regeneration: Regeneration, or "new birth", is a work of God's grace whereby a believer becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart brought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The one who believed in Jesus Christ to be saved will be baptized with water as an outward sign of one's faith in Christ and identification with the death and resurrection of Christ. Romans 6:3 Matthew 28:19
  • Present - Sanctification: Sanctification is the process, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God's purposes, and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual perfection through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. Growth in grace should continue throughout the regenerate person's life.
  • Future - Glorification: Glorification is the culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.

We believe according to the Scriptures in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to the everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

The church is the body of Christ and the family of God who worship, fellowship, pray, and minister together in the name of Jesus Christ. The Church operates under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The church exists to exalt the Savoir through personal and corporate worship. The church is responsible to equip the saints through scriptural instruction and Christian fellowship, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
